The SLTN Sydri Cooke County Texas #1, LP In December 2024, SLTN Exploration LLC entered into a participation agreement with 3 Point Oil and Gas the owner of approximately 21.75% interest in the Walnut Bend Field. The SLTN Sydri Cooke County Texas #1 LP is raising funds to complete the acquisition of approximately 9.78% interest.
The Walnut Bend Field, located in north central Cooke County, Texas, was first discovered in 1938 by Sinclair Oil and Gas Company. Over the years, various operators have managed the field, including Arco, Vastar, Gruy, and Magnum Hunter. Significant developments include the initiation of water injection in the Winger Sand in 1948, the formation of Unit #1 in 1961 for field-wide flooding, and Unit #2 in 1963 for multiple sands flooding. The field changed hands several times, with Merit Energy purchasing it in 2013, followed by Team Operating in 2020, and Sydri Operating in 2021. Currently, the field produces approximately 430 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and has 151 active wells (117 producers and 34 injectors) along with 160 inactive wells.

The field operates at depths of approximately 2,500 to 5,500 feet, with a modest decline rate of three to four percent per year. It primarily produces from the Strawn formation. Walnut bend asset Gross plot with PDP forecast and Total Proved forecast.

The upside of these PDNP’s are not included in our PDP run. We are estimating if successful we should add at least 40 BOPD which should start being realized in the first quarter of 2025. The cost to complete these projects will be paid for through a severance tax exemption.
