At that time your mouth will be opened; you will speak with him and will no longer be silent. So you will be a sign to them, and they will know that I am the Lord. Ezek. 24: 27

Many times in our efforts to share God's messages we come across those who want to argue and make light of His word. We sometimes sugar coat the word in order for it to go down better. We are afraid someone will get mad and argue with us. But Ezekiel tells us if we want to argue we need to take it to the Lord. We are to be His witnesses. Obedience is not up for debate. We can't opt for this or that and pick and choose which way we will go today or tomorrow. Committed Christians stand for God every moment and are not lip servants, but they truly love in a manner that is unshakeable and never ending. Yes, we get discouraged and we wonder why, but we never lose that hope in Him, who promises all things work for good to those who truly love Him.

Draw closer to the person of Christ, love Him so that those you teach will see Him and come to know Him in a personal relationship. Let God rekindle the fire in you and go out into the world, wherever He leads you. Rekindle the fire of those who have turned away from the living and true God. Remember, youth have that uncanny ability to see you for who you really are. What we say must match what we live. Then and only then will they see Jesus in us and know that He is Lord. We must not only "talk the talk" but "walk the walk."

Father, help me to live each day as a light to those who are hurting and those who need your love and encouragement.
