Have you ever met people who were not your type? Especially in your ministry, have you ever taught youth who you could not handle by yourself? If so, how did you treat them? How did you love them? At one time, I met a guy whom I could not control by myself. I loved him and was patient at first. After a few months, I was angry and resented him. I thought I was patient enough with him. I thought I did my best. However, how about God? How does God treat us?

The reality is that we have to treat our youth with God's love and compassion. God always has love and compassion for us. That is why Scripture goes to teach us his love and compassion.

In this passage, David praises God's love. He is not only the Holy one, but also Love. He does not treat us as our sins deserve. He is slow to anger and abounding in love. The Lord's love is with those who love him from everlasting to everlasting.

I want to remind you today that if you do not always harmonize with God, God's love is not changed. So we have to love our youth even though their character or behavior doesn't fit with the heart of God.

Lord, I choose to love You today. I choose to have compassion on my youth even when their character and behavior does not agree with your Word. I am indebted to you. Thank you for your everlasting love and compassion.
