1. PROJECT: Area Youth Mission ProjectAUDIENCE: Churches not able to do mission trips on their own. RATIONAL: To enable churches and Area to realize their goal of ministering to the whole world. PREPARATION TIME: At least 6 months planning and training CREATIVE IDEA: Do an Area youth rally emphasizing discipleship and/or witnessing to prepare for mission project. 2. PROJECT: Area DiscipleNow WeekendAUDIENCE: All churches with youth ministries, whether or not they have any discipleship program in their church RATIONAL: To encourage youth in their discipleship and to create enthusiasm for local youth discipleship. PREPARATION TIME: Eight months to encourage churches to participate, enlist churches, enlist homes, enlist leaders etc. CREATIVE IDEA: Could be an Area camp or retreat setting. 3. PROJECT: Area youth doctrine or cult studyAUDIENCE: Churches that have not historically had a youth doctrine study. RATIONAL: Area can assist local churches to increase doctrine awareness with their youth, especially relating to cults PREPARATION TIME: Three months to advertise and plan. CREATIVE IDEA: Do in a local motel conference center. One day event on Saturday or school holiday. 4. PROJECT: Area Youth Vacation Bible SchoolAUDIENCE: Churches that have or have not had Vacation Bible School RATIONAL: To assist churches to fulfill their mission to reach, evangelize and disciple youth. PREPARATION TIME: At least one year to plan and organize all the churches. CREATIVE IDEA: POSSIBLE TITLES: Youtharama (week long) Youthiversity (week long) BARGAIN DAY: One day 6 hours 5. PROJECT: Area Emphasis "See You At The Pole"AUDIENCE: All churches in Area - Include all churches in area that will participate. RATIONAL: Encourage churches to work together to make a difference in the schools of their community. PREPARATION TIME: One to two months before the national date. CREATIVE IDEA: Use this as a spring board for student led clubs at schools 6. PROJECT: Area Youth Winter or Summer Bible StudyAUDIENCE: All churches in Area, target area youth enrolled in Bible Study program. RATIONAL: To encourage all youth and youth leaders in Bible Study. PREPARATION TIME: Six months to secure leaders and promote. CREATIVE IDEAS: Youth Winter Bible Conference (between Christmas and New Year); Salt & Light Festival; Hold in local hotel conference center or retreat setting. 7. PROJECT: Area Youth Scavenger HuntAUDIENCE: All churches regardless of size. RATIONAL: Fun, fellowship, creative competition PREPARATION TIME: Four to six months: to promote and plan. Also to obtain permission for different events. CREATIVE IDEAS: Use digital or Polaroid cameras or video for proof. Use youth to help with the scavenger plans. 8. PROJECT: Praying For Spiritual AwakeningAUDIENCE: All churches - especially those with prayer ministries RATIONAL: To bring together youth and leaders to a specific time of prayer for spiritual awakening. PREPARATION TIME: Two to three months CREATIVE IDEAS: Let this be a spring board to an ongoing specific time of prayer for community, school and church. 9. PROJECT: Area Mission Project (Building)AUDIENCE: All churches that will agree to participate. RATIONAL: To provide a mission project locally to give youth a "hands on" approach to missions. PREPARATION TIME: This project could be ongoing as you assess needs, outline and plan for project, and do project. CREATIVE IDEAS: This project could assist senior adult ministry in an Area. Also, consider doing mission projects for ministers in the Area. 10. PROJECT: Area Youth Musical PresentationAUDIENCE: All churches with local youth choirs. RATIONAL: Fellowship, accomplishment of something can not do by individual churches. Area outreach for local churches. PREPARATION TIME: Six months to a year for choirs to prepare and learn music. |
